A promise made by moonlight

I want to be happy, but that means sometimes I have to squint my eyes or close my ears to the world. I am going to post about things that make me happy, and maybe they will make you happy too.

I think i left a piece of my heart in your dresser

I spent an hour on www.samsung.com on Friday night and so now can use my brother's digital camera (the manual was dropped in a swimming pool....???!)

The first photo I took was suppose to have been deleted, it was a between shots awkward mistake. But then, as my fingers hovered over the DELETE button, I couldn't do it, I look so happy, that I kind of like the idea of there being a piece of me that will be permanently be laughing in sunshine. So here it is:

I have almost 60 other photos all with the correct lighting and flash, but I think that maybe having this one, so imperfect that it was almost lost forever, is perfectly alright by itself. And proof that I CAN keep laughing and that I too, will be perfectly alright by myself.

I'm going down in flames for you

I dislike very very much those hormonally inbalanced ''perfect'' Disney Channel kids, however as a giant Harry Potter geek i do rather like the modest and talented Hogwarts Crew. They all of a sudden seem to have transformed from cute bushy haired 11 year olds to grown sophisticated it kids, with just a flick of a wand!

DUN DUN DUN!

What ever type of Polyjuice Potion Emma Watson has brewed up, I want some!

I have the dorky school girl thing covered, so maybe there is hope for me, will I ever be a beautiful tiara wearing mysterious belle???

Neither am i fan of the whole Twilight thing ( i just don't get it!!! Don't hate me please!), but I came across a certain ex-Hogwarts student looking adorably geeky and awkward (my favourite type of guy!) in glasses and a pink jumper. I may not get blushes and daydreams for Robert Pattinson as a vampire, but just this one screen shot is enough to melt me!

When He looks down on us i wonder what He sees?

Hurrah! Hurrah! Vive la tea parties!

As long as they have pretty serviettes and paper doilies, tea parties can come in all different forms:
  • My humble 16th birthday party:

  • The slightly grander and more beautiful Versailles of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette:

  • And then spontaneous teacups-and-cakes-thrown-into-your-bicycle-basket kind of shindigs:
Have you had a summer tea party yet? Or a Mountain-Dew-and-sherbet-lemons kind of party?

Go on, have one!

Painted faces fill the places i cant reach

Oh my oh my oh my

July has been a crazy wonderful sickly horrible time. For one whole month i have been stretched across hospitals and theme parks and trampolines and cemeteries and airports and class rooms and cinemas and libraries...my head has almost stopped spinning and my heart is nearly mended.

I finally now have time to day dream of Hogwarts and fall into fashion magazines...

I hope you can forgive me for being so absent and awkward.

For my fellow Northern Hemisphere-ers, has your summer been gloriously full of sunshine and beaches and lemonade??

Most sincere and gravest apologies for my naughtiness and abandoning, but my head was so full, my feet were so sore and my heart so achy that i was, in the most wonderfull cliche, ''in a very bad place''... Merci so much to ellesappelle and sprinkle who reminded me that i had to get over myself and TAKE CONTROL of my life!

They asked us if we'd like to see God

ME: So, we should probably talk about school or something

HIM: Yeah, or like current affairs...

ME: Well, Sri Lanka has a situation and a half at the moment...

HIM: Yeah, its pretty damn awful, human rights and all that...

PAUSE

HIM: Oh, f*** Sri Lanka, can I have your phone number?

You could tell that i was nervous so you held my hand

I know girls are supposed to get excited over shoes, but, my God...is there anything more spine tingly than kooky stationary???
  1. Unique weekly planner with crazy individual hand drawn images from here

Another, non-stationary Etsy product currently sweet-talking my purse is this little baby:

From wonderful stylesmith

For the sake of both my History GCSE and purse, I must stop perving on the beautiful marvels Etsy contains...

I'm gunna be a mighty king, so enemies beware

Oh la la it has been an awful awful long time since I last posted...I have never had so many exams, visits to Accident and Emergency, revision and films in my life...

The beautiful heart-warming Little Women:

Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides:

Notes and folders and highlighters and awfully heavy textbooks:
And quite possibly falling into a hazy dazy, unrequited aching heart, summer crush:

Busy busy busy I just want to sleep...

Saturday, May 30

Dismiss me from your memory and cover my body in debris.

On Friday I went to Oxford Street....oh my oh my oh my oh my.

Although I have been many times before, I have never seen so many achingly beautiful girls or boys. There was a minimum amount of 'LOL Abercrombie, yeah LOL' production-line, carbon copy mindless blonde idiotic girls...

In their places were crazy kooky indiviual floral prints clashed ever so incredibly with nautical stripes, neon nail polish, giant nerdy glasses and slogan t-shirts...♥

It was like Christmas, Birthday and Graduation Day all rolled into one!!! whoop whoop

Although I did not take any photos of the mighty fine fashion that I witnessed, I have, by way of Lookbook.com, assembled a few looks that definitely channel it:

I also stumbled across maybe my favourite EVER Vogue cover:

VOGUE Italia August 2005.

P.S Just had to share this with you...

''
Today, at the local swimming pool, my friend and I noticed two cute guys had just arrived. When they jumped in, we immediately took off our tank tops and got in the opposite end. They looked over at us, then looked at each other, got out of the pool and left. FML ''

YAY!, I'm not the only one that that happens to!

Thursday, May 28

I have done the unthinkable...I, who openly hate those 10 year old kids who wear shirts saying 'MADE IN THE 80s', has become obsessed with the 80s...

I'm talking perms, David Bowie, Heathers, acid wash denim and Bow Wow Wow...

So either start groaning and rolling your eyes, or scroll down!

Veronica, Heather, Heather and Heather OWN Cady, Regina, Gretchen and Karen!

In this shot, Debbie Harry pretty much created American Apparrel

Madonna....she's used to be awesome...now is she just milking it???
